History
First State Bank was originally chartered as Bank of Valliant on December 3, 1911. Through the decades, the bank's charter changed from Bank of Valliant to First National Bank, to Farmers State Guaranty Bank and finally to its current charter as First State Bank in 1964. Although the bank’s name has changed through the years, our philosophy is still the same – to provide quality customer service and competitive financial products to our customers.
Mission
First State Bank is committed to providing complete financial resources to families, businesses, and organizations that are located in the communities we serve. We strive to enhance the quality of life through this commitment, along with our involvement in and support of those communities.
